Today I finally updated the pricing to current as well as some minor changes. We hope to get the graphics updated a little soon as well.

Update on our new clients
Advertising works. We have picked up quite a few new clients in the last few weeks thanks to our advertising on KUFO, KOTK hot talk 1080am, Superpages.com and the website here at AT HOME TECH. Thanks Kevin Dolan (new XP install), Denise Lighcap & Associates (replace broken laptop LCD and clean up adware/spyware on desktop machine), Carol and Randy Rash (install XP SP1 and remove adware that was causing popups every 10 seconds), Kathy Bentz (troubleshoot Cable/DVD/VCR hookup — we are AT HOME TECH after all), Buckingham Resources LTD (troubleshoot new CD Burner install and fix HP monitoring software), Superior Appraisals (upgrade server to windows 2000), The Racoon lodge (upgrade windows 98 machine to windows 2000), Rick Shoop of Shoop3D (built new high end graphics workstation and wired new offices for DSL), and the rest of you who have called in and requested our services.
Get Anti Virus Software!
Over the last few weeks we have had quite a few calls about virus infections. It is VERY important that every computer has some form of virus protection installed. It is equally as important that the software be kept current. While most virii are pretty harmless some have the potential to cause massive data loss leaving you and your workplace scrambling to replace the data and get back online.
Attention Windows XP Users
A little-known but critical vulnerability exists in Windows XP. It has recently been repaired in Service Pack 1. This vulnerability allows the files contained in any specified directory on your system to be deleted if you click on a specially formed URL.
BlackICE PC Protection installed on DOORSTOP
We have re-configured our in house server (nicknamed DOORSTOP) to run BlackICE PC Protection, an application that provides comprehensive personal firewall and intrusion protection.
Database errors fixed.
Looks like our in house web server had some minor problems and corrupted the database. We restored from backup and the site is back up and running at 100%.

We hammered out a deal to get KUFO, a local radio station to get our message out. Look for our 60 second spot to start airing 8-19-2002.
New website is LIVE.
After all the hard work and design time the new site is up and running. We will be working on trim and polish over the next few weeks. Our in house web guru Gil Mora has outdone himself this time.

This is a little off topic for a business website however I am human too. New toys from the 80's hit cartoon series “Masters of the Universe” have been hitting stores around the country.
Windows Longhorn article
WinInfo posted an article looking at the newest Windows, codenamed Longhorn. It basically involves tracking a lot of things that you do, and making the OS even easier to use. Longhorn is scheduled for a 2004 release.
